Your holiday rental has no baby equipment? Here is what to do

It is the most common surprise we hear about: the apartment looks perfect, but there is no cot, no high chair and nothing for the baby.

Ask your host first

Message the host before you travel and ask exactly what they have: a travel cot, mattress, sheets, high chair, bath. "Baby friendly" in a listing often means very little.

The usual gaps

• A proper cot with a clean mattress and sheets.
• A high chair for mealtimes.
• A compact stroller for promenades and old towns.
• A car seat if you are renting a car.

Do not travel loaded
